You\'ll work in a matrix organisation and report operationally through OMNIA Training and functionally through the Raytheon UK Enterprise Performance Group (EPG). Ultimately, you\'ll work for the British Army, championing innovation, and helping shape the future of military training.
Location - Hybrid with requirement for regular onsite working at Warminster or other Raytheon UK offices
Main Duties
* Set objectives and guide your project controls team on the approach to achieve results with an ability to explain and implement policies, practices and procedures, leading through example.
* Provide Line Management to Project Controls Staff across the business area by assigning priorities, validating results, providing guidance, managing professional development, undertaking goal setting and providing guidance to team members in line with best practice including on-boarding and upskilling of new staff.
* Lead the creation, maintenance and reporting on detailed, resource loaded Schedules within the business area supported by Quantifiable Back-up Data (QBD) to objectively estimate forecasts and measure performance.
* Ensure, in conjunction with Finance, Programme Managers (PMs) and Cost Account Managers (CAMs), the production of weekly & monthly reports in line with the programme and business reporting calendar, providing details on progress, actuals, forecast and explanation of variances. This work will play an important role in the management of the TCIF contracts.
* Lead your Project Controls team who will be responsible for developing and maintaining a high quality, compliant Master Schedule for each contract element, monitoring and reporting progress and rescheduling / re-phasing tasks as required, including provision of detailed forward planning and trend analysis to inform decision making.
* Oversee the team to ensure that the data and resources are in place to ensure the allocated work can be completed at the specified time. Progress against the plan shall be monitored and reported by the team in line with the detailed Master Schedule.
* Define and drive delivery of the TCIF reporting in conjunction with finance.
* Represent Project Controls at EAC reviews and ensure robust schedule derived data to support the EAC SOX report with baseline, progress and remaining ETC data and analysis.
* Ensure adequate Programme Controls and scheduling capacity for the business area by recruiting skilled and effective Scheduling and Controls resources.
* Act as the primary interface for Program Controls strategy and services by developing strong relationships with key stakeholders within the Omnia Training Organisation and the RUK EPG.
* Perform Schedule reviews in support of the ERA and Gate C process.
* Work with Omnia Business Area Leaders regarding future business resourcing needs to be able to recruit, assign and prioritise workload amongst the Controls Team to meet demands of the business and on some occasions at short notice.
* Act as a senior member of the EPG functional Programme Controls Leadership Team to lead and support functional initiatives working with the PCM team to ensure that the controls teams have good opportunities for career development, training and new assignments to broaden their skills and ensure they enjoy working for the Omnia programme and Raytheon UK.
* Undertake ad hoc duties and delegate as required for the Head of EPG.

Required Skills:
* Expert knowledge of Ms Project and other Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI).
* Experience of working as a Subject Matter Expert in a Project Controls environment with working knowledge of Planning and Scheduling Excellence and the Generally Accepted Principles of Scheduling.
* Self-motivated and Process oriented
* Resilient - Able to operate effectively under stretching project constraints, pressure and displays sound judgment
* Proactive Team builder who can motivate and lead by example with diverse project teams and stakeholders.
* Advanced knowledge of best practice Earned Value Management (EVM).
* Ability to support and guide Programme Managers and their teams to multi-task, with good written and verbal communication skills across all levels of the business.
* Ability to support, guide and influence project teams to ensure programmes are set up in accordance with Raytheon standard practices and processes.
* Commercial and Business awareness in a complex projects environment.
* Demonstrable commitment to continuing professional development
* Eligible for or Holder of current SC security clearance (RSL will sponsor as required).
Desired Skills:
* Experience of working with complex programmes in a partnership arrangement with partner integration
* Holding the equivalent experience to or holding a relevant degree.
* Working knowledge of Risk & Opportunity Management Processes.
* Experience of working within the Defence Industry.
* Relevant Project Controls professional qualifications
