About The Role
We have an excellent opportunity for a passionate Health & Safety Advisor to join our team in Bishopstoke. Reporting to the HSE Manager, you will support in providing a safe environment for production and continuous improvement for personal welfare. As Health & Safety Advisor you will be responsible for assisting teams in developing safe systems of work for new and existing processes to ensure the safe operation of equipment.
This position could be suited for a proactive, highly motivated person that is looking to utilise their interpersonal and creativity skills.
Responsibilities
1. Conduct new risk assessments for processes and review and update existing ones. Assist in accident investigation processes.
2. Complete workplace audits and implement corrective actions.
3. Provide support during internal and external audits.
4. Assist in the development and delivery of Behavioural Safety initiatives.
5. Support in the site environmental management to include the compilation and management of site environmental data.
6. Organise statutory HSE training programmes to ensure the company meets all statutory requirements. Produce and deliver presentations covering various HSE issues.
7. Deliver workplace inductions for visitors, contractors and new starters.
8. Update current training files and produce new documents as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
9. Solid experience conducting risk assessments
10. Strong interpersonal skills, comfortable with training, conflict management and approaching challenging situations.
11. Previous audit experience is advantageous
12. Innovative mindset
13. IOSH Managing Safely as a minimum (NEBOSH General Certificate would be advantageous)
14. Preferably hold an understanding of COSHH and GHS, however not needed as full training will be given.
15. Computer literacy is essential, with good knowledge of Microsoft office packages such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
16. A self-starter, proactive, prepared to take the initiative and work without direct supervision
