What will you be doing?
We're seeking a talented individual at Senior Manager level to join our VAT Tax Team in the North, which is responsible for providing VAT compliance and advisory services for a wide range of business clients.
You will be managing your own portfolio of clients, working with Directors or alone on complicated consultancy and advisory projects. A significant part of the role will be managing client relationships and identifying opportunities on existing clients as well as potentially developing a specialist field of technical and/or sector knowledge and expertise.
As a Senior Manager or Associate Director your responsibilities will include;
* Overseeing complex VAT projects and engagements, ensuring high-quality deliverables and client satisfaction
* Developing and implementing VAT strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize efficiency
* Provide expert advice on VAT matters to clients, including multinational corporations and high-net-worth individuals
* Leading and managing a team of VAT professionals, providing mentorship and guidance to develop their skills and expertise
* Staying up-to-date with changes in VAT legislation and communicate implications to clients
* Collaborating with other tax and advisory teams to provide comprehensive solutions to clients
* Contributing to business development initiatives, including proposal writing and client presentations
* Managing client relationships and act as a trusted advisor on VAT-related matters
* Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of VAT operations
Qualifications
Skills and Experience
* Proven experience in VAT consulting or corporate tax roles
* Proven track record of successfully leading and managing teams
* Advanced knowledge of VAT regulations and compliance
* In-depth understanding of VAT legislation and its practical application
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Demonstrated project management skills
* Experience in building and maintaining client relationships
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
* Professional tax qualification (e.g., CTA, ACA, ACCA)
