A Special Needs School for children with disabilities is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Graduate to join their team as an SEN Teaching Assistant. This is the perfect opportunity for a recent graduate looking to gain experience working with individuals with learning difficulties and mental health challenges.
Responsibilities
* Support children aged 3 to 18 with a range of additional needs (Autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, learning difficulties, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy and physical disabilities).
* Provide emotional and academic support to pupils, helping with Maths and English and equipping pupils with life skills for the future.
* Teach fundamental social skills, interpersonal skills and independent living skills.
* Contribute to the school’s holistic approach to learning, with lessons in art, music, cooking and outdoor education.
Qualifications & Opportunities
* Recent University Graduate; Psychology or Criminology graduates are encouraged as these degrees can be applied to classroom scenarios.
* Interest in training as a Psychologist, Counsellor, Therapist or Teacher in the future.

* Salary: £85-£95 per day
* Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm
* Start: Immediate Start
