Job Summary Kenect Recruitment is seeking a skilled Vehicle Painter to join our client’s team in Edinburgh EH28 area, specializing in auto painting and restoration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in auto body repair and detailing, with experience in both dealership environments and independent shops. This role requires proficiency with various painting techniques, including airless paint spraying, as well as mechanical knowledge to ensure high-quality finishes on vehicles.
Responsibilities
* Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as necessary
* Apply paint using various methods, including airless paint spraying and buffing techniques
* Perform auto body repairs and restoration work to restore vehicles to their original condition
* Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for painting and detailing tasks
* Conduct vehicle maintenance checks to ensure all components are functioning correctly prior to painting
* Estimate the time and materials needed for each job accurately
* Handle heavy lifting of vehicle parts and equipment as required during the painting process
Qualifications
* Previous experience in auto body repair, auto painting, or detailing is essential
* Dealership experience is preferred but not mandatory
* Proficiency with welding and mechanical knowledge is a plus
* Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and airless paint spraying equipment is required
* Must have full driving licence
Hours
* 5 days over 7, flexibility required
* Ongoing, no end date
* 0700-1700
* £19.44 per hour, paid weekly, PAYE
