The Governors of County Bridge Primary School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed School Business Manager to manage the operation and business functions of our school, including financial management, health and safety, human resources, compliance and administration.
Ideally, you will have experience of working in an education setting, but this is not essential. This role will allow you to grow and develop in a supportive and professional environment and, in the future, there may be an opportunity to undertake the business manager qualification to progress further in your career.

Main Purpose of the Position:
* Be responsible for/manage the operation and delivery of support services within the school.
* Be responsible for/manage the planning, development and monitoring of support services.
* Management of staff, including commissioning and delegation of relevant activities. Member of the school’s leadership team
You will be responsible for:
* Planning, development, design, organisation and monitoring of support service and whole school systems/procedures/policies
* Design and effective operation of administrative procedures
* Submission of relevant information to SLT, the Governing Body and outside agencies, e.g. DfE
* Appropriate deployment of staff, including recruitment
* Provision of specialist advice and guidance to SLT/Governing Body, etc. on national and local guidelines/policy/statue etc.
* Management of facilities including use of premises and associated income, and major building works and projects etc., e.g. new development
* Devising of marketing and promotion strategies for the school
* Effective management of financial administration procedures, including responsibility for compliance with financial regulations
* Planning, monitoring and evaluation of budget
* Management of expenditure from the school budget
* Management of Health and Safety within the school
* Creation and implementation of recruitment/induction/appraisal/training/ mentoring systems for support staff
Main Duties:
* Develop and monitor management information systems
* Determine the need for and arranging provision, analysis and evaluation of data and detailed reports/ information
* Commission appropriate payroll systems and be responsible for their effective operation
* Identify the need for, select and manage resources, including management of resource budget
* Interpret matters of policy/procedure/statute to ensure the school’s compliance and initiate appropriate action arising
* Manage procurement and be responsible for securing relevant sponsorship
* Identify the need, and being responsible, for securing appropriate licences and insurance
* Develop work specifications and manage service contracts
* Comply with and assist with the development of policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person
* Be aware of and support difference and ensure equal opportunities for all
* Participate in training and other learning activities and performance development as required
* Recognise own strengths and areas of expertise and use these skills and knowledge to be able to lead, inspire and motivate others
