Clinical Applications Specialist Diagnostic Ultrasound
Location: UK & Ireland (national travel required)

Salary: £50,000 £55,000 basic salary + £20,000 bonus + company vehicle

Our client is a specialist medical device distributor supporting clinicians across rehabilitation, diagnostic imaging and healthcare settings with advanced technologies and clinical education solutions.
As part of continued growth within diagnostic imaging, our client is expanding its ultrasound division to support healthcare professionals integrating diagnostic ultrasound into everyday clinical practice. Their focus is on education, clinical confidence and delivering high-quality support to clinicians using point-of-care, cart based and handheld ultrasound in real-world settings.
The Role
Our client is seeking a Clinical Applications Specialist to support clinicians using diagnostic ultrasound systems across the UK and Ireland.
This is a highly clinical, field-based role focused on training, implementation, education and ongoing applications support. The successful candidate will work directly with healthcare professionals to help them integrate ultrasound confidently and effectively into clinical practice, supporting high standards of patient care and clinical adoption.
The role will involve close collaboration with technical, commercial and education stakeholders to deliver a strong customer experience throughout the implementation and post-installation journey.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Training & Implementation
* Deliver high-quality ultrasound training and clinical applications support to healthcare professionals
* Support on-site installation, onboarding and implementation of ultrasound systems
* Carry out on-site demonstrations of ultrasound systems at customer sites
* Assist clinicians with practical ultrasound workflows and optimisation within scope of practice
* Provide guidance on image acquisition, scanning techniques and system functionality
* Provide pre-sales support, product specification guidance and answer clinical/technical questions from customers
Education & Clinical Support
* Deliver one-to-one and small-group ultrasound training sessions
* Support educational workshops, clinical learning events and user training programmes
* Provide ongoing post-installation support to ensure confident system use
* Support clinicians with image optimisation and effective integration into day-to-day practice
Clinical Collaboration
* Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to maintain consistent standards of training and support
* Contribute to the development of educational materials, user guides and clinical resources
* Provide product and clinical feedback internally to support continuous improvement
Internal Teamworking
* Work closely with technical support, customer support and commercial teams
* Support the development of clinical education initiatives and training strategies
* Participate in team meetings, product updates and ongoing professional development
About the Ultrasound Systems
The ultrasound platforms are designed to support imaging across a variety of clinical environments.
The portfolio includes:
* Handheld ultrasound systems for point-of-care imaging
* Portable laptop-based systems for flexible clinical use
* Cart-based platforms for high-volume clinical environments
The focus is on practical, efficient imaging solutions that support clinical assessment, patient communication and treatment planning.
Person Specification
Essential
* Qualified Sonographer with relevant clinical ultrasound experience
* Strong understanding of ultrasound imaging principles and scanning workflows
* Confident communicator with the ability to train and support healthcare professionals
* Experience delivering clinical training, education or user support
* Willingness to travel extensively across the UK and Ireland
* UK driving licence
Desirable
* MSK ultrasound experience
* Experience supporting ultrasound implementation or applications training
* Experience working with point-of-care or portable ultrasound systems
* Experience working with larger ultrasound systems in a hospital environment
* Interest in clinical education and healthcare technology
* Experience supporting multidisciplinary clinical teams

* Applications training or clinical education: preferred
