Job Summary for Fire Extinguisher Technician

Working for a growing family run business, we are looking for a Fire Extinguisher Technician to join an expanding team. This is a great opportunity to become part of a supportive environment and help make a difference in Fire Safety Compliance across the UK. You will work Monday to Friday 7am - 4:30pm.



You will be responsible for the service and maintenance of Fire Extinguishers, Fire blankets, Hose reels and Fire/Safety signage surveys/installation and would be expected to complete clear electronic reports and provide excellent service during client visits. This role is field based, with daily travel to client sites. A company vehicle and fuel card will be provided for work use only.



Primary Responsibilities for Fire Extinguisher Technician

* Carrying out servicing and maintenance to Fire Extinguishers, Fire Blankets and Hose Reels and identifying and reporting on whether they are non-compliant
* Installation and commissioning of new Extinguishers, Signage and Fire Blankets
* Completing electronic reports accurately using mobile apps and digital forms
* Ensure compliance with fire safety legislation and company procedures
* Provide clear communication and excellent customer service during site visits
* Maintain tools, stock levels, and company vehicle to a high standard
* Respond to client callouts within agreed SLAs



Requirements for Fire Extinguisher Technician

* Full UK driving licence required
* Must always be polite to customers and respectful of other views even if they do not align with your own
* Strong attention to detail and a willingness to understand Fire Safety Compliance
* Good communication and customer-facing skills
* Ability to work independently and manage your daily schedule within the timings provided by the Resource Planner.
* Interpersonal skills ability to communicate at all levels and backgrounds, feelings and reactions of others.
* Planning and organising oneself to accomplish specific goals
* Problem solving, with a willingness to make decisions Once analysed make judgments based on the best solution to a problem or situation
* Strong Team player willing to participate as a full member
* Good organisational skills
* Excellent communication skills
* Attention to detail



Additional Information

* Working for a 3 Generation Family Business with a number of the family working within the company
* Company performance related bonus (based on last year, this was £3,500 per person)
* Company vehicle provided
* Small office team of 10+ persons
* On-site Parking
