Job Overview
A challenging role undertaking a full range of engineering activities within the Environmental test and Electrical test skill areas, where the primary role is to configure and undertake test operations on space equipment (predominantly on SADM & ADTM mechanisms) using specialist test equipment and facilities to meet customer quality test standards and requirements.
Responsibilities
* Use of proprietary test equipment, ATE (Automatic Test Equipment) and MAIT facilities to achieve test specification requirements.
* Run and execute tests using the facilities to meet specifications.
* Design, manufacture and set up bespoke test setups.
* Perform mechanical operations on test facilities to support the desired test setup.
* Review and analyze post‑test data, compile data, produce test certification and reports.
* Produce local documentation (LDS).
* Maintain test instrumentation, facilities and equipment.
* Prepare for flexible working hours; cover varying shifts, including early/night shifts, weekends and overtime as required.
* Demonstrate knowledge of thermal vacuum testing and space environmental conditions.
Qualifications
* Theoretical and practical knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical testing within an automated or manual test environment, with competent software skills.
* Experience with thermal vacuum testing and knowledge of thermal vacuum techniques/systems & space environmental conditions.
* Working knowledge of M+P international vibration control systems is desirable.
* Awareness of potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity.
