We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Chef to join our culinary team. Responsibilities
* Assist the Head Chef in planning and executing menu items, ensuring consistency and quality in food presentation.
* Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to enhance team performance.
* Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety standards.
* Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new recipes and improve existing ones.
* Assist in training new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen protocols.
* Participate in serving meals during peak hours, ensuring timely delivery to guests.
Skills
* Proven experience in a supervisory role within a kitchen environment and experience in Tandoor.
* Strong background in food production and preparation techniques.
* Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse group of individuals.
* Proficient cooking skills with a passion for culinary arts.
* Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is highly desirable.
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is essential.
* Strong leadership qualities with effective communication skills.

Pay: £12.21-£13.00 per hour
