We're looking for a Hardware and Mechanical Engineer to support our range of leak detection loggers.
Responsibilities
* Contributing to and working on electronic design of new products, taking into account all the requirements.
* Document and ensure validation of all designs is performed and to the appropriate level.
* Collaborate with the production engineering team to ensure smooth transfer of new products into manufacture.
* Collaborate with production engineering to produce test equipment and procedures for new products to verify the correct operation of hardware.
* Evaluate the effectiveness of current designs, and fault find problems, ensure full root cause analysis is performed and where necessary modify designs.
* Generate and release drawings and associated BOMs for new products, adhering to the company processes.
* Work with production engineering to produce prototypes of new products for approval.
Experience
* Experience in designing electronic and mechanical hardware, investigating and defining problems and resolving issues.
Skills
* Degree in Electronic Engineering or similar subject or equivalent demonstrated experience.
* Knowledge in the design of analogue & digital circuitry and power supplies.
* Knowledge of the design processes and best practices (schematic design).
* PCB layout design/verification.
* An understanding of PCB assembly processes and technologies.
* An understanding of mechanical design and development.
