As an Optometrist Store Manager with us you'll be providing excellent customer and patient care, as well as leading and inspiring your store team. You'll create a culture where everyone is passionate about doing the right thing.
This is a fantastic role for an experienced Optometrist looking to develop or build on their leadership and management experience within a large, well‑established practice. It is ideally suited to an experienced Optometrist; newly qualified Optometrists may be considered if they have relevant management experience.
Responsibilities
* Use your passion for delivering patient care to work with colleagues to deliver a positive customer journey.
* Drive local plans for enhanced services and deliver towards P&L objectives.
* Bring your personality into the day‑to‑day running of the practice – working with and developing your team to provide the best service to patients.
* Build longstanding relationships – not only with colleagues and customers but with healthcare professionals in the local community.
Qualifications
* Fully qualified GOC registered Optometrist.
* Additional registration with the relevant NHS body.
* Passion for patient care.
* Leadership experience.
We have an exciting internal secondment opportunity for an Optometrist Store Manager at Boots Opticians Warrington Golden Square, a busy flagship‑size store located in the heart of a thriving shopping centre.
Key Details
* Full‑time (37.5 hours per week).
* Temporary secondment.
* Weekend working required (Saturday weekly or alternate Saturday & Sunday).
* Flagship‑size store with 4 testing rooms.
* Recently refitted (September 2025).
* 25‑minute testing times.
* Large, experienced team of 25 colleagues.
* 4 phoropters plus OCT, Optomap, retinal imaging & visual fields.
* Freestanding store (no Hearing Care).
* Offers MECS, cataract services, children’s screening & enhanced services.
* High ASOV with a very mixed patient demographic.
* Great opportunity to gain experience managing a large, high‑footfall store.
