Overview
Data Engineer required to support a finance transformation programme within a digital financial services business. Focus on modernising financial data systems and replacing manual processes with scalable, cloud-based solutions.
Responsibilities
* Work closely with finance stakeholders
* Design and deliver data integrations and data products
* Bring General Ledger into the central reporting repository
* Integrate a Treasury Management System into central data and automate accounting postings
* Build curated finance data marts for self-service reporting
* Enable near real-time reporting capability
* Operate as a proactive, autonomous contributor within a Scrum team
* Support experimentation with agentic AI tools (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT) for discovery and requirement definition
Requirements
Must-Have:
* Strong finance domain knowledge
* Extensive AWS data engineering experience
* Experience with cloud-native data platforms
* Python
* Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
Nice to Have:
* Experience with D365 or similar ERP systems
* Experience using Claude / agentic AI in delivery
