Senior Care assistant – Cwmbran

We are currently recruiting experienced and compassionate Senior Care Staff to support a number of well-established nursing homes across the Cwmbran area. This is an excellent opportunity to join a professional healthcare agency offering flexible work and ongoing opportunities within supportive care environments.
The Role:
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to residents while supporting the smooth running of shifts within nursing home settings. You will work closely with nurses and care teams to ensure residents receive safe, person-centred care at all times.
Duties Include:
5. Administering and recording medication safely
6. Supporting residents with personal care and daily living activities
7. Assisting with moving and handling using appropriate equipment and safe practices
8. Supporting residents with mobility and emotional wellbeing
9. Leading and supporting care staff during shifts
10. Monitoring residents’ conditions and reporting concerns
11. Maintaining accurate care records and documentation
12. Promoting dignity, independence, and respect for all residents
13. Working collaboratively with nurses, families, and healthcare professionals
Requirements:
14. Medication trained
15. 6 months UK based senior care assistant experience
16. Moving and handling training
17. NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Health & Social Care
18. Previous experience within nursing or care home settings
19. Senior care experience preferred
20. Reliable, professional, and caring approach
21. Strong communication and teamwork skills
