Senior Engineer – Test Delivery (Modularisation Development Programme)
Rolls‑Royce SMR is recruiting for a Senior Test Delivery Engineer to be involved in a cutting‑edge design project for a new type of power station. This is more than just a job; it’s an opportunity to be part of a legacy.

Salary: £48,000 – £63,000 DOE.
What You’ll Be Doing
The Rolls‑Royce SMR Development Engineering Function has four capability areas: Research & Technology, Verification and Validation, Test and Commissioning.
Reporting to the MDP Test (Design) Manager, you will lead and direct integrated project teams to deliver modularisation demonstrator/test definitions. You will work with external partners, suppliers, and internal customers, exercising excellent integration and stakeholder management skills. Initially the focus will be on plant design optimisation decisions, then on providing evidence to validate and verify the design and substantiate the safety case.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and support integrated project teams to define, plan, and deliver one or multiple test projects within the Rolls‑Royce SMR Development organisation.
* Act as an intelligent customer, working with the Supply Chain team to establish and build relationships with external suppliers and partners for project execution, providing robust experimental data and capability that meets customer needs (e.g. design development, safety case, operations, verification or plant operator).
* Lead and coordinate test projects (including supply chain, suppliers, design, verification, HS&E, etc.) to efficiently deliver high‑value projects.
* Manage technical interfaces between your department and other functions within the business to ensure that, by working together, a coherent and efficient technical solution is produced.
Qualifications
Typically you will have a degree or equivalent experience in an engineering discipline along with professional recognition through an appropriate body (or working towards it). Nuclear experience is not essential for this role.
Salary & Package
* Salary: £48,000–£63,000 DOE
* Bonus: Performance‑related target opportunity 12.5%
* Benefits Allowance: £2,200 per annum (bespoke package)
