Contracts Manager - Structural Steel
Location: UK wide travel required
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000

An established and respected specialist in structural steelwork is looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional to take ownership of complex steelwork contracts from order to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Role Overview:
* Manage allocated contracts from receipt of order through to the end of the defects liability period, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and client satisfaction.
* Act as the primary client interface, leading meetings, resolving issues, and maintaining strong relationships.
* Develop contract programmes, construction plans, and health & safety documentation.
* Oversee the design and drawing process, managing the information flow between clients and internal teams.
* Coordinate subcontractors and internal resources, ensuring timely placement of orders and adherence to programme requirements.
* Monitor on-site progress through regular site visits, addressing any issues to keep projects on track.
* Manage financial aspects of contracts, including variations and commercial implications, to maximise profitability.
* Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety legislation, and relevant industry standards throughout the contract lifecycle.
Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years' experience in contracts management within the construction or structural steel industry.
* Strong understanding of fabrication, erection, and site processes in structural steelwork.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build productive relationships with clients, suppliers, and project teams.
* Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
* Full UK driving licence, with flexibility to travel to sites across the UK as needed.
