ABC Teachers is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Classroom Assistant to work full-time at an SEN Primary School in Coventry on a full time basis.
About the role
Providing individualised support to students with SEN including autism and speech, language and communication needs. Working alongside a class teacher and a team of experienced support staff to assist with the general day-to-day running of the classrooms. Building a quick rapport with the students to support students educational, social and emotional development. Offering 1-1 or small group support, aiding in academic tasks, social interactions and behaviour management.

About you
* Have previous experience working with children and young people with a range of special educational needs, such as learning difficulties, autism and looked after children.
* Experience with non-verbal children is desirable but not essential.
* Suitable qualifications such as Health and Social Care or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools are desired but not essential.
* Have strong communications skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with students
* Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
