School Crossing Patrol Officer (Pontardawe)
ContractType: Temporary up to 31st March 2026 (Funded by Pontardawe Town Council)
Hours: 10 hours per week 2 hours per day (Term Time Only)
Location of post: Swansea Road, Trebannos
The post requires the gathering and safe road crossing of pedestrians whilst crossing the road at or near the school.

The main duties of the post:
* The gathering of school pedestrians in preparation for road crossing.
* The control and direction of the pedestrians when gathered.
* The stopping of traffic when necessary
* Supervision of the pedestrians when crossing
* The reporting of matters connected with their duties.
You will have experience in/of.
Work Experience
* Previous experience working with road safety issues.
* Previous experience working with members of the public, both children and adults
Ideally you will have the following abilities:
* Ability to communicate with others.
* Ability to work with minimum supervision.
* Ability to work to strict times and guidelines.
