About The Role
We invite applications from enthusiastic and flexible ICT support specialists to join our existing ICT support team. The successful candidate will have a good knowledge of general hardware and software, as well as being highly organised and having excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. The ability to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team is essential, and experience of working in an ICT support role or similar would be an advantage.
Main Duties And Responsibilities
* Managing own workload through the allocation of calls via the helpdesk.
* Providing first-line ICT support to staff and students.
* Assisting with the maintenance of all ICT rooms and equipment.
* Assisting with general technical support for the ICT department.
* Assisting with the evaluation of new and existing software.
* Attending and contributing to ICT-related meetings.
* Assisting in the development of recording systems for ICT usage throughout the department.
* Assisting in keeping the ICT software/hardware inventories up to date.
* Assisting in providing technical support for staff presentations.
* Being aware of and adhering to all relevant health and safety legislation associated with duties undertaken.
* Commissioning, maintaining, testing and repairing electronic/computer systems, associated peripherals and AV equipment, ensuring this equipment complies with health & safety legislation.
* Installing and configuring software under the direction of the Network Manager.
