Role Description

Join Our Team as a Complex Needs Support Worker

Location:

Drayton, Abingdon, Oxfordshire

Salary:

£13.16 per hour (£25,662 per annum) plus benefits

Hours:

7.00 am pm, 2.00 pm pm (Monday to Sunday on a shift rota basis. Please note, the shifts may vary due to the needs of the people we support)

Contract:

Full-time (37.5 hours per week), Permanent

Driving Requirement:

A valid driving license is required (Manual, UK)

* A valid manual UK driving licence

* Supporting daily routines - from morning support to bedtime

Who You'll Be Supporting

Join us in our new home where you'll support an individual. You won't be alone - you'll be part of a passionate, caring team.

John* You'll be supporting John, a vibrant individual with complex needs who's moving into a specially adapted home.

John lives in a single occupancy home which is purposely adapted to meet his complex needs. He loves going out every Friday for KFC, also trips to cafés and going on drives. His dad is a big part of his life, so family involvement is key and often has family visiting him. When he is not out and about enjoying himself, he usually likes being at home listening to music(especially classical), Disney films, colouring, and outdoor fun like trampolining and swings in the garden. Routine is very important to James.

You'll be making a real impact with person who have:
* Learning disabilities, including using communication tools like Makaton or PECs
* Working with individuals with autism and/or visual impairments
* Experienced with behaviour that is highly challenged and applying Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies
Please Note:

**From January 2026 to end of March 2026, you'll need to travel to Birmingham (B38 area) during his transition before he moves to Drayton, Abingdon on April 2026. As his new home is being renovated for his person centred care and needs. We will pay towards travel during this transition period.
