Are you a qualified Social Worker or Mental Health Nurse with a passion for mental health care? We are looking for compassionate professionals to join our Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) Service – PATH (Psychosis: Prevention, Assessment and Treatment in Hertfordshire).
Based in St Albans, the role covers a caseload in Watford (Colne House). You will support people experiencing psychosis for the first time, delivering personalised and recovery-focused care.
You will hold a caseload and work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team, building strong relationships and developing your leadership and delegation skills.

Main duties of the job
* Be an active member of a skilled multi-disciplinary team
* Provide our PATH service in the Stevenage Team
* Cover a designated locality – not the whole county
* Travel locally, working in patients’ homes and our local hub buildings
* Train as a family intervention therapist

Job responsibilities
As a member of the multi-disciplinary community team, you will be responsible for the clinical and operational day-to-day service delivery. You will provide a high quality health and social care service to adults of all ages experiencing First Episode Psychosis (FEP). Core functions include assessment, care planning and care coordination within a recovery framework that embraces each individual’s right to choice and control.

Person Specification
Education / Training
* Degree level or equivalent qualifications in Mental Health Nursing, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or similar
* Registration with NMC, HCPC, or SWE
* Advanced training in mental health
* Approved Mental Health Professional / Best Interest Assessment training
Experience and Knowledge
* At least two years of postregistration experience, including one year at Band 5 (or comparable)
* Experience in acute mental health inpatient or day‑care services
* Experience of working in crisis and emotionally demanding settings
* Knowledge of safeguarding processes, family breakdown, serious mental illness and self-harm risk
* Experience of partnership working with service users and carers, demonstrating dignity and respect
* Experience of teaching and training
* Excellent communication skills with a wide range of stakeholders, verbally and in writing
* Proficiency with electronic recording systems and timely reporting
Physical Skills
* Car driver essential or access to a car (unless a disability prevents driving)
* Full UK driving licence
* Business insurance for work use of a car
