About The Role

Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day operations across multiple hub locations within your remit. You will ensure that operating standards for vehicle inspections and collections are consistently met, while championing health and safety compliance at all times.

You will have direct responsibility for the driver teams based at your hub sites, providing strong leadership, supervision, and ongoing support. Alongside this, you will work closely with our Inspectors, contributing to the smooth and efficient running of daily operations.

Acting as the first point of contact for operational queries, you will take ownership of issues as they arise, resolving them where possible and escalating to the Regional Manager when required. This is a hands-on role that calls for flexibility and initiative—you will support inspection activity during peak periods, deliver training, conduct audits, and provide one-to-one coaching to ensure teams perform at their best.

What You’ll Be Doing

* Take overall responsibility for supervising vehicle inspections, ensuring teams are managed effectively and that all administration, inspection activity, vehicle coordination, and movements consistently meet customer SLA requirements.
* Lead the smooth day-to-day operation of the team, responding promptly to issues or incidents in line with agreed procedures, and escalating where appropriate.
* Oversee the vehicle inspection process to ensure inspections and imagery are completed accurately, quality standards are upheld, KPIs are achieved, and corrective action is taken when required.
* Foster a positive, high-performing culture across your region by leading by example, maintaining consistency, acting on team feedback, and managing people in a fair, professional, and diplomatic manner that protects both the business and its employees.
* Hold team members accountable where performance or behaviours fall short of expectations, managing performance improvement plans or disciplinary processes in line with company policies and with a consistent, fair approach.
* Ensure internal systems are used correctly to support the effective management of the team and inspection processes.
* Support field operations by assisting with the planning, delivery, and inspection of vehicles when required.
* Investigate inspection-related disputes thoroughly and provide clear, timely feedback to all relevant stakeholders.
* Act as a central point of contact for Drivers and Inspectors, ensuring information is communicated clearly, accurately, and inclusively, with regular and meaningful engagement with direct reports.
* Carry out vehicle inspections as allocated, including scheduling work and completing appraisals efficiently and accurately.
* Accurately identify and image vehicle damage across all vehicle types, in line with published standards, customer procedures, and SLAs.
* Maintain regular visibility across your assigned region, travelling as required to visit sites, meet with team members, complete audits, and conduct one-to-one meetings.

What We’re Looking For

* Proven experience in a supervisory or team leadership role, with the ability to effectively manage and support small teams.
* Demonstrable experience working within SLA and KPI-driven environments, consistently meeting performance targets.
* Strong ability to motivate, engage, and drive team performance to achieve operational goals.
* Confident working in a performance-focused environment, using KPIs to monitor progress and identify improvement opportunities.
* Ability to analyse data and performance metrics to inform decision-making and recommend practical improvements.
* Sound technical knowledge of vehicle inspections, with a strong focus on quality and compliance.
* IT-literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

We’re Committed to Inclusion

We are proud to be an inclusive and equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity in all its forms. We are a place where you can be you.
