Responsibilities
* Support the Head Chef in leading the kitchen team to deliver high-quality, nutritious meals tailored to residents\' dietary needs
* Supervise food preparation and presentation to ensure high standards
* Manage stock levels and assist with supplier coordination
* Ensure kitchen cleanliness and full compliance with food safety standards
* Build positive relationships with residents to understand their preferences and enhance their dining experience
Ideal Candidate / Qualifications
* A skilled chef with experience in a similar role (e.g., Sous Chef, 2nd Chef, Cook Supervisor)
* Ability to lead and support a small team
* Excellent food hygiene knowledge and a valid Food Hygiene Certificate
* Great communication, time management, and organisational skills
* A caring, flexible approach to working in a care home setting
* Hold a City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent
* Have at least two years\' experience in catering
* Be confident supervising in a busy kitchen environment
* Be motivated, reliable, and eager to grow professionally
