Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in both care home and home care settings. Your primary focus will be on assisting individuals with their daily activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while adhering to care plans. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Responsibilities
* Assist patients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support individuals in following their personalised care plans.
* Help with mobility and physical activities, ensuring safety at all times.
* Monitor and report changes in patients' conditions to healthcare professionals.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
* Drive to various locations as needed for home care visits.
* Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes.
* Foster positive relationships with patients, families, and colleagues through effective communication.
Skills
* Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is essential for clear communication.
* Experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous.
* Ability to understand and implement care plans effectively.
* Strong interpersonal skills to engage with patients compassionately.
* Basic IT skills for maintaining records and using electronic health systems.
* A valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving travel between locations.
