We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join our welcoming and experienced team, working across our Hilton and Stapenhill practices, with occasional cover at other Scarsdale sites. This is a varied and rewarding role within a close-knit, community-focused team, where your skills will be valued, and your professional growth encouraged.
Role Details
In this role, you will be involved in a wide range of first-opinion nursing duties, including monitoring anaesthetics, assisting with imaging (radiography and ultrasound), running laboratory samples, conducting nurse clinics, and supporting vets during consultations. Our RVNs are encouraged to take ownership of their work and develop their areas of interest, with opportunities to lead in specialist clinics such as nutrition, weight management, and preventative healthcare.
Work Schedule
This is a full-time role of 38 hours per week, typically worked over 4 days, including a share of evenings and weekends.
* Shift pattern between 7:45 AM and 7:15 PM
* Pro rota Saturday
* Part-time hours considered, but must include some evening and weekend work
About the Practice
Our practices in Hilton and Stapenhill are part of the wider Scarsdale Vets network, which also includes a central hospital with a referral centre and a dedicated night team. Stapenhill is RCVS-accredited for small animal general practice, ISFM silver cat friendly, and Dog's Trust dog friendly. We have modern facilities, including digital x-ray, ultrasound, dental x-ray, two operating theatres, three consulting rooms, and a dedicated nurse consulting room.
The team is made up of 7 RVNs, a VCA, and an experienced group of vets, supported by client care advisors who provide the first point of contact for our patients and their owners. We proactively run a variety of clinics, from weight management to positive practice visits, and we pride ourselves on being a valued part of our local community.
