The company is a leading UK engineering business specialising in major mechanical and electrical installations within the food and beverage manufacturing industry. This role is a maintenance engineer position supporting a high-profile facilities management contract in Towcester, NN12 8EQ.

Role type: Temporary to Permanent; Full-time
Responsibilities:
* Work on site at a major manufacturing facility in Towcester as part of the hard services facilities team.
* Carry out planned, preventive and reactive mechanical maintenance on engineering assets across the site.
* Perform regular checks on boilers, humidifiers, primary and secondary water supplies, and plant rooms.
* Conduct some electrical work including 1st line electrical response to breakdowns and basic electrical tasks including disconnecting machines.
* Perform periodic inspection and compliance checks (e.g., chemical sampling, changing AC filters, checking pH levels) and basic building fabric maintenance (changing light bulbs, emulsion painting, changing locks, hanging notice boards).
About You:
* Based ideally in Northamptonshire or Warwickshire; you should live within a commutable distance of NN12 8EQ.
* Demonstrable experience in an industrial machine maintenance environment, ideally in the food and beverage industry, with a strong mechanical engineering background.
* Full training will be provided on scheduled and routine maintenance for the site.
* Electrically or mechanically qualified to C&G Level 3 is preferred.
What you’ll get:
Salary between £35,000 and £40,000 plus a 20% shift uplift (£48,000), overtime for shift cover, and on-call premiums, along with a range of other benefits.
