Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (Additional Needs) Location: Rawtenstall Hours: 8:50 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday Pay Rate: £13.75 – £14.50 per hour (dependent on experience) We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs at a welcoming and inclusive school in Rawtenstall. Role Overview: As an Additional Needs Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support students with a range of special educational needs, including learning difficulties, Autism, and physical disabilities. A key part of this role will involve personal care, so candidates must be confident and comfortable with providing this level of support. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 or small group support to pupils with additional needs Assist with classroom activities, helping students to access the curriculum Deliver care routines, including toileting and personal care Monitor and report on student progress to teaching staff Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment Requirements: Experience working with children with SEN or additional needs Confidence and capability in delivering personal care A patient, empathetic, and proactive attitude A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant) is desirable but not essential A current DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one Why Join Us?
