My client is a leader in the Defence & Security sector. They are seeking a passionate and dedicated Functional Integration Lead Engineer to join their Integration and System Validation team. This is a unique opportunity to work on complex Defence systems within a motivated team environment.
Responsibilities
* Planning the delivery of proving tests to meet programme maturity milestones and support timely clearance certification for trials activities
* Collaborating with systems and design teams to derive test requirements ensuring comprehensive system level test coverage
* Overseeing the generation of test instructions, test reports, and supporting safety documentation/processes
* Integrating multiple variants of subsystems in trials and operational configurations
* Supporting integration of trials test equipment for use across proving activities
* Coordinating with design teams to diagnose problems and determine design solutions
* Supporting trials defect investigations and analysing data as required
* Defining test and trials equipment requirements
Job Requirements
* Degree qualified (or equivalent) in electrical/electronic engineering or similar
* Good understanding of hardware/software integration and test activities
* Familiarity with general commercial lab test equipment
* Experience with data analysis tools/methods
* Experience or personal interest in scripting (e.g., Python or similar)
* Creativity and practicality to work with complex problems and derive logical solutions
* Adaptability and innovation in a varied and often fast-paced role
