Graduate Safety & Reliability Safety Engineer – Evolito Ltd
Evolito’s mission is to accelerate the adoption of electric propulsion in aerospace applications in support of a net-zero world. Evolito develops and manufactures class-leading, lightweight, high-power, and high-torque-density electric propulsion systems for aerospace markets including EVTOL, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and General Aviation. The team is scaling rapidly with ambitious growth plans over the next twelve to eighteen months. We are looking for a Graduate Safety and Reliability Engineer to support the development of safety and reliability cases for new and existing products, contribute to system design activities, and help demonstrate compliance with customer requirements and applicable aerospace standards.
Responsibilities
* Support processes in performing product safety cases, FHA, DFMEA, FTA, PSSA, PRA, CMA, ZSA regarding battery systems and powertrains for aerospace applications
* Support product safety cases based on aerospace regulation requirements
* Involvement in product maintainability and level of repair analyses
* Assist with creating and implementing the process of product development to ARP 4754, ensuring reliability, safety and maintainability requirements are generated and flowed down in development projects, with a focus around ARP 4761 for safety analysis
* Assist in determining safety goals and DAL for the systems
* Support generation of documentation and supporting items
Skills and experience required
* Degree level qualification or equivalent
* Understanding of functional safety and systems process in an aerospace environment
* Familiar with requirement tracking systems (CodeBeamer, JIRA and Confluence)
* Familiar with FHA, DFMEA tools
* Confident and able to articulate complex issues succinctly
* Ability to quickly pick up new tasks, understand issues, find solutions, and implement
* Ability to work under pressure while managing conflicting demands against tight deadlines
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Creative problem-solving abilities with an analytical approach to implementation
* Self-motivated with the determination to succeed
* Flexible approach to work with the desire to thrive in a dynamic, fast-moving environment
* UK driving license and willingness to support occasional travel
