You will be the sole physiotherapist on site, working within your own dedicated clinical space to carry out assessments and deliver appropriate treatment. More about Occupational Health Physiotherapists: Occupational Health Physiotherapy focuses on the relationship between health and work, with the aim of identifying and addressing barriers that may impact an individual's ability to remain in or return to work.
In this role, you will use your core clinical skills to assess, diagnose, and manage patients in line with NICE guidelines, HCPC standards, and CSP best practice. A biopsychosocial approach underpins all assessments, supported by strong clinical reasoning, use of flag systems, and validated outcome measures to guide diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment planning.
You will carry out initial assessments (remote and face‑to‑face), deliver evidence‑based interventions, and support individuals through self‑management and exercise‑based rehabilitation. Hands‑on treatment is not always required, with a greater focus on education, movement, and practical strategies to support long‑term recovery.
The role also involves producing clear reports for employers, providing advice on functional capacity and workplace adjustments, while ensuring transparency as employees have access to this information. Where treatment is needed, it is typically short‑term, with regular reviews to monitor progress and outcomes.
