About the Organisation
We are a leading provider of specialist education for children and young people with a wide range of additional needs. Our provision supports learners from early years through to further education, including post-16 pathways across London and surrounding areas.
Our Kingston-based provision works with students who have complex learning difficulties, autism, physical disabilities, and associated communication and sensory needs, with a strong focus on preparing learners for adulthood, independence, and employment.
The Role
We are seeking enthusiastic and committed Lecturers/Teachers to join our Kingston provision, delivering high-quality, personalised education to post-16 learners with SEND. You will contribute to a multidisciplinary approach, supporting students to develop academic, vocational, and life skills in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for learners with complex needs
* Design and deliver personalised learning programmes aligned to EHCP outcomes
* Support the development of independence, employability, and life skills
* Embed functional skills (English, Maths, communication) across the curriculum
* Work collaboratively with therapists, support staff, and external professionals
* Monitor, assess, and track learner progress effectively
* Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and student-centred learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* A recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent for FE teaching such as DET)
* Experience working with learners with SEND, particularly complex needs/ASC/SLD/PMLD
* Understanding of post-16 pathways, including vocational and life skills curricula
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A flexible, creative, and solution-focused approach
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults
