As part of this growth, our client is establishing a brand-new office in Hexham, and we are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to take a pivotal leadership role in shaping the culture, standards, and systems from day one.
The Opportunity

Lead HSEQ strategy for the new regional office
Embed best-practice safety culture across multiple civil engineering frameworks
Provide guidance, support, and coaching to project teams and site leadership
Ensure compliance with legislation, client requirements, and internal standards
Drive continuous improvement and champion behavioural safety
Influence organisational direction as the region grows
About You
To be successful in this role, you should bring:
Significant experience in Health & Safety within civil engineering or major infrastructure projects
NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) with strong technical HSEQ knowledge
A proactive, collaborative approach with the confidence to influence at all levels
Experience developing or leading safety strategy across multiple projects
The ambition to help shape a new regional hub and build a high-performing safety culture from the ground up
