Regulatory Information & Enforcement Analyst, Reading
This is an exciting new role at Thames Water where you will have the opportunity to contribute to Thames Water’s mitigation of enforcement risk related to water discharge non-compliance against environmental permits and pollution incidents.
You will be part of a team responding to the Environment Agency (EA) across various communication channels. This high-profile role involves collaboration with our legal team at Eversheds Sutherland and the Environment Agency, providing exposure across all levels of the business and contributing to the company's broader environmental efforts.
Responsibilities include:
* Conducting extensive email and document searches across company systems in response to EA information requests.
* Working with internal stakeholders and Eversheds to identify relevant information.
* Preparing documents for submission to the EA within regulatory deadlines.
* Assisting in the preparation of mitigation and defense evidence through interrogation of company records, used in communications with Eversheds, senior management, and regulators.
* Facilitating meetings with information providers, ensuring preparedness and clarity of purpose.
Additional role details:
Location: Hybrid, with an average of two days per week at Clearwater Court, Vastern Rd, Reading.
Working hours: Flexible options available, to be discussed at interview.
Travel requirements: Ability to travel across Thames Water sites for training and team activities.
Candidate requirements:
* Experience in IT and extensive database searching.
* Level 3 higher education qualification in IT or equivalent.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
* Experience with AI search systems.
* Relevant sector experience, particularly in wastewater or water treatment, is advantageous.
* Experience with legal privilege is desirable.

* Salary: £30,400–£35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
* 26 days annual leave, increasing to 30 with service, plus bank holidays.
