The FP&A Lead will spearhead integrating advanced BI solutions within the FP&A domain, leveraging data analytics and BI tools to provide actionable financial insights, streamline reporting and planning, and support strategic decisions. Collaboration with finance, IT, and operations teams is essential to ensure data accuracy, flow, and accessibility.
Financial Planning, Analysis & Reporting
* Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range planning.
* Manage planning models and templates for accurate and efficient consolidation.
* Provide insights into financial trends, variance analysis, and forecasting using data-driven methods.
* Support strategic initiatives with planning and predictive modeling.
* Analyze large datasets to identify risks, opportunities, and cost-saving measures.
* Prepare consolidated finance reports and presentations for stakeholders and investor relations.
* Translate complex financial data into compelling narratives for stakeholders, investors, and sponsors.
Strategic Leadership in Business Analytics
* Develop and implement a BI strategy aligned with financial needs.
* Partner with finance to identify analytical opportunities and improve performance.
* Act as a liaison between finance, stakeholders, and technology teams.
* Establish data governance policies within finance to ensure compliance and data quality.
* Engage organization-wide to promote self-service analytics and data-driven decision-making.
* Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions to foster a data-driven culture.
BI System Development and Optimization
* Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports tracking key financial metrics.
* Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across BI platforms.
* Manage data collection, storage, and governance to support BI needs.
* Lead dashboard development from requirements to deployment and testing.
* Monitor data quality, identify discrepancies, and implement corrections.
* Drive AI initiatives to enhance decision-making and efficiency.
* Track dashboard usage and feedback for future improvements.
Requirements
Driven by high performance:
Technical Expertise
* 5+ years in FP&A, preferably in a high-performance environment.
* 3+ years experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, QlikView) and data visualization.
* CIMA qualification preferred.
* Proficiency in financial modeling, Excel, SQL, and data warehousing.
* Familiarity with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle.
Key Competencies
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
* Excellent communication and storytelling abilities for stakeholder presentations.
* Project management skills with experience in agile methodologies.
* Quick learner, proactive in knowledge sharing.
* Line management experience is desirable but not essential.
