 
        
        Video Producer
The Video Producer position focuses on shooting, crafting editing, and creating daily or long‑form content for next‑generation products, with an eye toward direct‑to‑consumer paid experiences. The role involves producing content for publication across all client platforms, including day‑of or breaking news packages, live videos, and special programming, while adhering to defined editorial and journalistic standards.
Key Responsibilities
 * Support day‑to‑day production operations across the video team, including logistics, research, and editorial preparation.
 * Independently produce low‑complexity stories or segments, writing scripts and building outlines for short‑form content.
 * Develop and implement treatments for smaller content pieces, contributing ideas for news‑of‑the‑day, breaking, and enterprise video.
 * Prepare and maintain production documentation such as rundowns, release forms, and shot lists.
 * Coordinate schedules, meetings, and production timelines for projects.
 * Assist on‑set or remote shoots with gear handling, slating, taking notes, or talent support.
 * Participate actively in edit reviews and publishing processes, ensuring tone, pacing, and platform needs are met.
 * Ensure content complies with legal, rights, and editorial standards, and remain engaged with platform trends and audience behavior.
 * Coordinate with external contributors and production partners under producer supervision.
Essential Qualifications
 * Bachelor’s degree in journalism, technical production, English, political science, history, or relevant professional work experience.
 * Basic understanding of news and sound editorial judgement.
 * Strong research, writing, and visual storytelling skills.
 * Proficiency in Adobe Premiere (must‑have).
 * Ability to manage timelines and work detail‑oriented across concurrent assignments.
 * Capacity to operate basic camera/audio equipment, assemble rough cuts, apply simple graphics, use CMS and asset tools, and understand basic platform metrics.
 * Clear communication and proactive teamwork.
 * Eagerness to learn, take feedback, and build a foundation in editorial production.
 * Adaptability to fast‑paced deadlines and schedule flexibility.
