Mechanical Design Engineer required. Our client is a specialist manufacturer, supplying a range of industries with turnkey bespoke solutions based in the Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire area. The successful candidate will be joining an established design office using Solidworks.
Mechanical Design Engineer Job Overview
* Producing technical assembly designs & manufacturing drawings with the use of Solidworks 3D modelling software
* Liaising with customers on design parameters
* Assist in the research and development strategy for the company and partake in hands on product development as may be requested.
* Ensuring designs are within the required legal framework
* Producing designs and renders for sales purposes
* Liaise with Purchasing to ensure the technical specifications are fully compliant and agreed for each contract.
* Reporting to the head of design
Mechanical Design Engineer Job Requirements
* HND qualified or similar within a Mechanical, Electrical, Design or Civil Engineering related subject
* Proficient with Solidworks, or similar 3D modelling software
* Full UK Driving License
* Based in a commutable distance of Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire
* Strong communication & relationship management skills
* 2+ years of experience within a Design Engineering role
