An opportunity exists for a dedicated professional to support the educational needs of middle school students in a dynamic learning environment. This full-time contract position spans the NSY, focusing on creating an inclusive and stimulating atmosphere for a diverse caseload.
Qualifications:
* Bachelors degree in Special Education or related field.
* Valid state certification or licensure in Special Education.
* Experience working with middle school-aged students, preferably in inclusive settings.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to collaborate effectively with teaching staff, parents, and educational specialists.
* Proficient in developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs).
Location:

Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute tailored lesson plans aligned with IEP goals.
* Manage a caseload of 15-25 students, fostering positive relationships and promoting social-emotional development.
* Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to ensure a comprehensive approach to each student's education.
* Monitor student progress and adjust strategies as needed to support their individual needs.
* Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and challenges.
* Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and professional development opportunities.
