About the role
You will provide strategic direction for our E&CC service, focusing on energy audits, surveys (including ESOS and EU EED-compliant audits), feasibility studies, building and process optimisation, energy management, monitoring and targeting, benchmarking, carbon footprinting, and developing Net Zero Carbon and energy strategies. During 2023, you will be involved in ESOS-related work, either as a Lead Assessor or assisting assessors.
Positions can be based in any UK office (preferably Manchester, London, Bristol, or Devon), or remotely/hybrid for the right candidate.

About you:
As an experienced Carbon and Energy Management consultant, you should demonstrate strong technical, project management, and communication skills. Your qualifications should include:
* A degree or higher in a relevant engineering field (Chemical, Process, Energy, Renewable, Building Services, Mechanical, Electrical)
* Chartered status with a relevant professional institute (EI, IChemE, IMechE, IEE, CIBSE, or similar), or working towards it
* Memberships such as EI Register of Professional Energy Consultants, Chartered Energy Managers, CIBSE Low Carbon Consultants, or ESOS-specific qualifications are advantageous
You should also have experience in:
* Conducting on-site energy assessments, audits, and surveys across various sectors
* Evaluating energy efficiency technologies for performance and cost-effectiveness
* Understanding current and future energy efficiency drivers and regulations
* Excellent English communication skills; additional languages are a plus
* Report writing and IT skills, especially in Excel
* Presentation skills and business development experience
Additional advantageous skills include experience with low/zero carbon technologies, energy management software, and energy training development.
