Level 2 Teaching Assistant
* Hourly Rate: £14.63
* Location: Blackburn
* Job Type: Full-time
* Working Hours: 08:30 - 15:30, Monday - Friday
* Start Date: 27th April 2026
We are looking for a motivated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic team at a primary school in Blackburn. This role involves working within a Year 2 class, supporting the teacher in delivering educational excellence. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about helping young children achieve their potential.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Assist in the preparation and delivery of daily activities and lessons for a Year 2 class.
* Support the teacher in managing classroom activities and maintaining a positive learning environment.
* Help with the setup and cleanup of classroom materials and equipment.
* Work closely with students, providing individual support and encouragement to enhance their learning experience.
* Monitor and report on the progress of students to the classroom teacher.
* Participate in school meetings and training sessions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
* Experience working with children in a classroom setting, preferably within Key Stage 1.
* Strong understanding of the educational and developmental needs of young children.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
