About the role
A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF: I’m a 17 year old girl living in Aberdare. I love music and consider myself very active. I’d like a PA who is able to keep up with me and my various activities as I enjoy Swimming and trampolining. I am fun loving, enjoy having a giggle and have a wicked sense of humour. I have autism but I don’t let this define me and do all the things that I enjoy.
Purpose of the job
To promote my independence, social skills and confidence in the community.
Hours of work
* 6 hours per week term-time
* 12 hours per week school holidays
Rates of pay
* £14.00 per hour
* 40p mileage when you use your car
Tasks will include
* Taking me swimming and also getting in the pool with me
* Other activities like trampolining and eating out
* Going out shopping and cinema
* Taking me to a dance or Zumba class and joining in
* Making sure I am safe at all times we are out
Type of person required
* Someone with similar interests to me
* Preferably fit and active to participate in activities with me
* A good sense of humour is a must
* Female due to changing rooms for swimming
* Willing to learn about Autism if you have no previous experience
* A car owner/driver who is willing to use car for work purposes/take me on outings
About the job
This position is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS Disclosure (Police Check), which must be completed prior to the commencement of employment. The cost of this check will be covered by the Local Authority.
All necessary checks will be conducted to verify that any candidate has the legal right to work in the UK before employment begins.
Although this is a part-time role, it is a legitimate position requiring the submission of a National Insurance number. Employment will commence under an initial trial period.
Wages will be paid on a monthly basis and appropriate holiday pay will be provided.
