As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, Kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. Leading a team of Care Assistants, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of care and you'll be a real influence on the rest of the team. Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility and therefore it is important that you are able to recognise the signs which may indicate possible abuse, harm or neglect in its different forms and know what to do if there are any concerns. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in associated areas. Responsibilities
* Assisting the Registered Nurse and Care Manager, providing physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, as well as administering medication.
* Maintaining accurate records of the care you provide and building strong relationships with the rest of the team.
* Planning and delivering person-centred care to support residents' dignity, independence and wellbeing.
* Leading a team of Care Assistants and ensuring the highest standards of care across the home.
* Supporting residents and their families, communicating effectively and delivering truly personalised care plans.
* Safeguarding awareness and escalation of concerns as required; attending safeguarding training and ongoing development.
* Managing time effectively and ensuring quality care for residents during night shifts.
Qualifications
* Ideally, Level 2 Diploma/SNVQ in Adult Care; prepared to work towards Level 3 or equivalent.
* Background in person-centred care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia.
* Strong record keeping and time management; positive energy and ability to get along with people.
