We’re looking for a commercially minded, strategic and people-focused marketer to manage and grow key client relationships while supporting the wider agency’s development. This is a leadership role within the Client Services team, responsible for delivering exceptional integrated marketing solutions across multiple channels, while mentoring junior team members and contributing to the maturity and commercial success of both client accounts and the agency.
You’ll take proactive ownership of your accounts, bringing a deep understanding of client services as a discipline. You’ll be expected to advocate for best practice, lead by example in the behaviours expected from a client services operational standard perspective and demonstrate how our work contributes to tangible outcomes for our clients.
The role is open to applicants based in Glasgow or Manchester.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert, both internally and externally, using your understanding of client services and marketing strategy to drive value.
* Take proactive ownership of account plans and client services operational responsibilities, ensuring delivery is aligned to best practices and client goals.
* Lead on more complex, multi-channel accounts, managing and motivating wider project teams and junior Client Services colleagues to deliver high-quality, consistent outputs.
* Demonstrate a strong ability to understand and consult on client business objectives, identifying opportunities to improve outcomes and deliver strategic impact.
* Support and lead junior team members through mentoring, coaching, training, and development, helping to build a confident and capable Client Services team.
* Collaborate with heads of departments and senior stakeholders to deliver client and agency-wide solutions that enhance agency maturity and evolve service delivery.
* Lead the development of strategic and integrated marketing plans, campaign proposals, and high-quality new business pitches in line with agency growth objectives.
* Maintain a high level of commercial awareness across accounts, managing budgets, timelines and profitability while contributing to the commercial success of both the agency and its clients.
* Build and maintain relationships with external partners and agency collaborators, representing BIG’s values and strategic interests at all times.
* Promote and contribute to BIG’s external presence by sharing thought leadership, social content, and success stories that demonstrate the agency’s capabilities.
* Actively engage with the wider BIG business and leadership, understanding priorities and contributing to the agency’s long-term goals.
* Advocate for and model BIG’s company values, consistently recognising and supporting others who do the same.
The Person
We're looking for someone who:
* Has a minimum of 4–5 years’ agency experience at a senior level, managing integrated marketing projects with a proven record of delivering successful outcomes.
* Possesses a comprehensive understanding of client services, able to clearly articulate value to clients and colleagues alike.
* Has a strategic mindset with the ability to align marketing activity with business objectives and confidently lead clients and teams to deliver on them.
* Demonstrates strong leadership and people management skills, capable of inspiring others and creating a high-performing team culture.
* Has experience leading complex, multi-service accounts and working cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners.
* Brings strong commercial awareness, able to manage the financial performance of accounts and contribute to wider agency profitability.
* Is collaborative by nature, always looking for ways to strengthen client relationships, internal processes, and cross-team efficiency.
* Is proactive, organised, and able to manage a demanding and varied workload with autonomy and accountability.
* Is committed to BIG’s vision and values, and actively supports the success and growth of others across the agency.
A degree in marketing or a CIM qualification is desirable but not essential.
If you thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and are motivated by delivering meaningful, results-driven work for clients—while leading by example—we’d love to hear from you.
