Accounts Assistant job in Bellshill
Your new companyBased in Bellshill, our client is recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. The hours of work are Monday–Friday, 37.5 hours per week and flexibility can be offered with start and finish times, e.g. 8am–4pm, 8.30am - 4.30pm etc. The role is based on-site in Bellshill and, due to the location of the role, applicants should have access to their own transport. Your new roleReporting to the Finance Manager and working as part of a team of 4 (but operating as part of a larger finance function), you will undertake a range of duties, predominantly focused on accounts receivable. The IT system used is Sage.Your tasks will include: Monitoring and management of the sales ledger Ensure timely collection of outstanding payments via telephone and email Query handling/resolution and escalation Preparation of aged debt reports and cash collection forecasts Management of Purchase Order system Reconciliations Financial Analysis Assisting with month-end processes including balance sheet reconciliations and reporting Supporting the Finance team with audit queries and ad hoc tasks as required What you'll need to succeedThis role will suit an analytical and detail-driven individual with experience in credit control who has an interest in developing their month-end/management accounting experience. Alternatively, it will also suit an experienced Accounts Assistant who is keen to develop their credit control skillset. You will have a professional communication style both verbal and written as you will liaise with colleagues, management and clients daily via telephone and email.
