We are looking for a Qualified or passed finalist Management Accountant to join our finance team.
You’ll report directly to the Senior Finance Business Partner and be responsible for business partnering the Supply Chain and Operations Division. This role will provide support and challenge to the supply chain management teams to enable them to achieve sustainable profitable growth, focusing on operational delivery and customer service. The role covers several functions and depots, including Harlow, Aylesford, Brighton, and Thetford.
We offer a hybrid working contract; you will need to attend the Harlow or Aylesford depot twice a week, with occasional visits to Brighton and Thetford. Flexibility with travel is required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provision, analysis, and interpretation of weekly and monthly reports to monitor and improve performance.
* Production of management accounts and variance analysis.
* Preparation of weekly flash reports and monthly forecasts of depot costs and volumes with non-finance teams.
* Monitoring KPIs and volume metrics weekly.
* Budgeting and forecasting, ensuring cost control through appropriate challenge.
* Collaborating with management to identify trends, improvement opportunities, and performance issues.
* Serving as the point of contact for finance-related matters for management teams.
* Ensuring compliance with group policies, SOX requirements, and maintaining documentation and variance investigations.
* Participating in ad hoc projects and business case development to support change initiatives.
* Identifying and resolving errors and discrepancies.
* Managing workload to meet reporting deadlines accurately.
* Promoting process improvements and supporting change management initiatives.
You:
You will be a recently qualified accountant or a passed finalist (CIMA, ACCA, ACA), currently working as a Finance Business Partner, Management Accountant, or Finance Analyst, seeking career development within a global organization. You should have confidence in engaging with stakeholders at all levels, challenging decisions constructively, and offering solutions. Strong analytical skills, experience in financial analysis and modeling, and advanced Excel skills are essential. Knowledge of SAP or Workday is a plus.
