Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive individualised assessments and person-centred treatment programmes covering all areas of ADL.
* Work independently and manage your own caseload.
* Demonstrate sound clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills; deliver therapy to service users with changing needs.
* Plan and organise workload and time effectively.
* Undertake continuing CPD and participate in staff support and training.
* Maintain confidentiality of service user information.
* Undertake Access/Home visits to service users' homes as necessary.
* Ensure a high standard of clinical and professional practice.
* Adhere to mandatory health and safety requirements and undertake essential training.
* Participate in clinical audits in accordance with company policy.
* Abide by the Occupational Therapy professional code of conduct.
Qualifications and Skills
* Qualified Occupational Therapist with ability to demonstrate clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage a caseload.
* Flexible thinking to deliver therapy to service users with challenging needs.
* Experience or ability to work with a multidisciplinary team.
Our Team and Support
We are fortunate to have a full MDT as part of our core team, including Advanced Practitioners in Manual Handling, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Positive Behavioural Management (PBM) and Fundamentals of Care. We also have Speech and Language Therapists (SALT) and access to a Consultant Psychiatrist, Neuro-Psychologist and assistant Psychologists. Our aim is to maintain and, where possible, improve the overall independence levels of the people we support through rehabilitation, stimulation and social integration so everyone can live their best life. We also support individuals who are less able and ensure that everyone benefits from high standards of care and support.
What’s involved
* Undertake assessment and formulate person-centred, goal-oriented treatment plans for service users.
* Carry out occupational therapy interventions as documented in the treatment plan.
* Continuously evaluate interventions and review as necessary.
* Record all occupational therapy intervention in accordance with College of Occupational Therapy/Health Professions Council guidelines and company standards.
* Maintain confidentiality of service user information.
* Undertake home visits as necessary.
* Ensure high standards of clinical and professional practice.
* Comply with all mandatory health and safety requirements and undertake essential training.
* Participate in clinical audits in accordance with company policy.
* Abide by the Occupational Therapy professional code of conduct.
