Your Role
As a SEN Class Teacher, you will play a crucial role in shaping the educational journey of our pupils. Your responsibilities will include:
* Planning and delivering high-quality lessons aligned with the national curriculum, tailored to meet the complex SEMH needs of all pupils.
* Supporting the class team in facilitating engaging learning opportunities and promoting positive behaviors.
* Monitoring and reporting on pupils' progress and concerns, collaborating with other staff to ensure all needs are met.
* Supervising pupils during non-classroom times, including extracurricular activities and school trips.
* Building positive relationships with pupils to drive interaction and enhance learning outcomes.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should have:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
* A strong educational background, ideally to degree level.
* Previous successful teaching experience.
* Experience working with pupils with SEMH needs in an educational setting.
* Knowledge of behavior management techniques.
* A commitment to professional development and a willingness to learn.
* Willingness to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check prior to starting work.
