Hays Education is supporting a weing andmunity-driven primary school in the Preston area to recruit an experienced Year 4 Teacher for an immediate start. This position will run on a long-term basis until at least the end of the academic year, with a strong possibility of extension into September or even a permanent appointment for the right candidate.

Your new role
You will take full responsibility for a Year 4 class with high levels of SEN and additional needs, requiring a teacher who can provide structure, consistency and a nurturing approach. The class benefits from supportive leadership and additional staffing, but it is a demanding environment that needs a calm, skilled and adaptable teacher.Your responsibilities will include:
1. Delivering engaging and well-structured lessons aligned with the KS2 curriculum
2. Creating a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment
3. Working closely with support staff, SENCO and senior leaders
4. Using assessment to track progress and inform next steps
5. Building strong relationships with pupils and families
What you'll need to succeed
6. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
7. Strong understanding of KS2 curriculum expectations
8. Experience supporting pupils with SEN or behavioural needs
9. A resilient, patient and proactive approach
10. Ability to establish routines and maintain high expectations
