As a Progress Assistant you will work under the guidance of the SEND Leader to implement agreed work programmes/intervention strategies with individuals or groups of SEND students both in and out of the classroom. This may include assisting the teacher in their planning and management/preparation of resources. You will act as a key worker for a small group of students, liaising with teaching staff and parents to ensure good communication and effective learning, behaviour, attendance and progress.
This post is 19 hours, 15 minutes per week (three days per week), term time only, +5 days. 8:20am-3:15pm.
Responsibilities
* Implement agreed work programmes/intervention strategies with SEND students individually or in groups.
* Assist the teacher with planning, management and preparation of resources.
* Act as key worker for a small group of students.
* Liaise with teaching staff and parents to ensure good communication and effective learning, behaviour, attendance and progress.
* Work constructively as part of a team, using initiative, working independently and being resilient.
