This role is based in the UK and will be working on site in our UK based College.
In order to comply with our mandatory pre-employment checks, the successful candidate will be required to provide original identification documents in person to our UK based HR Team.
Background to the Post
The Engineering Academy provides training and assessment for apprenticeships, work placed assessments, full and part time engineering courses from Levels 1 to 3 and Higher Education at the college’s Trident, Leamington Spa, Evesham and Rugby Centres. The post holder will join the existing Engineering Team and be responsible to the Workshop Team Leader and Head of Department (Engineering Workshop and laboratories).
Essential Attainments:
* An Assessor award A1, or equivalent or a willingness to achieve the qualification.
* A relevant Level 3 qualification in an engineering discipline is essential.
* Teacher Training Qualification or the willingness to undertake the courses required to gain this.
* Evidence of formal structured training.
* Experience in one or more of the elements listed below:
1. Automotive engine strip, build and repair.
2. Automotive electrical system wiring, testing and repair.
3. Diagnosing and rectifying faults on vehicle systems.
4. Heavy vehicles.
5. Automotive air condition systems.
6. Electrical and/or hybrid vehicles.
7. Workbench skills.
8. Rolling road testing.
9. Projects.
* Current experience in an Engineering workshop environment, particularly in the elements listed on page one of this job description.
* Mechanical and auto-electrical experience in relevant vehicle systems.
* Ability to develop and maintain high quality education and training.
* A willingness to undertake continuing professional development.
