About the Role:We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Project Surveyor to join our team in delivering capital works and component renewal projects across our housing portfolio. In this role, you will work closely with the Project Manager and external contractors to ensure projects are completed efficiently, to the highest standards, and in full compliance with all relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, coordinate, and oversee the day-to-day progress of capital works and component renewal projects.
* Ensure all works are completed on time, within budget, and meet agreed quality standards.
* Collaborate within multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality asset services that maintain properties in good repair.
* Monitor and manage performance of both internal teams (including the direct labour organisation) and external contractors to ensure compliance with service standards.
* Support the planning, scheduling, and coordination of major investment projects from inception through to completion.
* Maintain compliance with relevant legislation, ensuring value for money and operational efficiency.
* Manage a specific portfolio which may include capital works, stock condition surveys, commercial premises, energy performance, asset performance, and adaptations, tailored to your expertise.
* Promote high levels of customer satisfaction through effective contractor and project management.
Skills and Experience:
* Proven experience in project surveying, preferably within housing, construction, or asset management sectors.
* Strong knowledge of capital works, component renewal, and major investment projects.
* Excellent project planning, coordination, and organisational skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams.
* Sound understanding of relevant legislation and compliance requirements.
* Experience in managing and monitoring contractors and direct labour teams.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
